Opening the floodgates early, the Tenino softball team hit up and down the lineup for 22 total base hits in a 23-8 five-inning win over Castle Rock in Stone City Tuesday afternoon.
The Beavers were led by a great day at the plate from Sophia Hussey, who went a perfect 4 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Kiyah Goodwin added a 3 for 5 line with three runs scored and five RBIs, as well.
In the circle, Chloe Grayless threw a complete game, allowing eight runs, with four earned, with a pair of strikeouts and walks.
The Beavers will look to build on their first win as they head into league play against Elma on the road Thursday.
