Beavers Roll Past Cruisers

The Tenino baseball team took its third win over Eatonville in less than 24 hours Saturday morning, downing the Cruisers 9-0.

Brody Noonan and Tristan Whitaker combined for the shutout on the hill, with Noon striking out eight and giving up just two hits in five innings and Whitaker only allowing a pair of walks in his two frames.

Tenino scored its first four runs — two in the first, one in the third, and one in the fourth — with the benefit of just one hit, taking advantage of walks, errors, and productive outs to get all the scoring it would need. In the fifth inning, the Beavers broke out the real lumber, with Eastpm Snider, Kellan Knox, and Jack Burkhardt all hitting RBI doubles in a four-run frame.

Snider put a capper on the day with a solo home run in the sixth, finishing the morning 2 for 3 with four RBIs.

Winners of five straight, Tenino will face off against Elma in a league doubleheader Tuesday.
