The Tenino softball team had a tough day at the office Tuesday, falling in five innings to Elma, 18-0.
Sophia Hussey hit a two-out single in the bottom of the first inning, but that ended up being Tenino’s only knock of the game. The Beavers had three more players reach on walks and another on an error, but finished with just the one hit.
Elma scored two runs in the first inning and three more in the second off of Chloe Grayless, then bolstered the lead with four in the fourth and nine in the fifth.
Tenino will host Eatonville on Thursday.
