Picking up where it left off on Wednesday, the Tenino baseball team swept its second straight 1A Evergreen League doubleheader — this time against Eatonville Friday afternoon — 17-5 and 23-1.

The Beavers drew 29 walks over the course of the 11 total innings, taking advantage of some sloppy Cruiser pitching.

In Game 1, Mikey Vasser threw the first four innings of a 17-5, six inning win, with five unearned runs on four hits and three walks with a strikeout. Carson Hart pitched the final two innings and struck out two.

Austin Gonia went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a walk drawn, and Brody Noonan scored three runs, going 1 for 3 with an RBI.

In Game 2, a 23-1 win in five innings, Hart pitched the first three innings, not allowing a hit and striking out two with two walks. Triston Whitaker pitched an inning of relief allowing a hit, a walk, and striking out one, and Preston Snider pitched the final three outs allowing a run on two hits and a walk with a strikeout.

Kellan Knox went 2 for 3 on a pair of doubles with three runs scored and two RBIs, while Vasser went 2 for 5 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Easton Snider had another strong game at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a run scored, four RBIs, and a walk drawn.

The Beavers will play their fifth game in four days against the Cruisers Saturday morning at home.
