Burglary suspects drive car through Thurston County cannabis store

Multiple people burglarized a cannabis store in west Olympia Wednesday after driving a car through the building, police say.

The incident occurred about 5 a.m. at a Green Lady Marijuana store on Harrison Avenue, Police Lt. Paul Lower said. Olympia police officers responded to the scene after an alarm company reported the burglary, he added.

Initial reports indicated there may have been four suspects, but Lower said that number has not been confirmed. The suspects allegedly ransacked the store and quickly fled in a different vehicle that was waiting for them, he said.

Lower alleged the vehicle that the suspects drove into the store was stolen in another jurisdiction, but he could not confirm which jurisdiction Wednesday morning. He said no one was in the building when the incident occurred.

Lower could not say how much merchandise was stolen because the store was still reviewing their inventory Wednesday morning.

The Olympian was unable to reach Lower for an update and confirmation of facts on Thursday.
