A car crashed into a Thurston County house early Saturday morning, according to Lacey Fire District 3.
About 8:30 a.m., Lacey fire crews were dispatched to the 200 block of School Street Southeast, which is in unincorporated Thurston County near WinCo.
Five people, plus a cat and dog, were in the home at the time of the crash, but all escaped injury, Battalion Chief Steve Crimmins said Sunday.
After the crash, the home was not considered habitable, so the family was connected to services offered by the Red Cross, he said.
A tree also was removed to get the driver out of the vehicle, he added.
The driver was initially unhurt, but then suffered a medical emergency and was taken to an area hospital, Crimmins said. The same medical emergency may have triggered the crash, he said.
