Winlock’s bats went silent while Stevenson’s sounded off as the Cardinals were swept in a home doubleheader by the Bulldogs on Monday.
In Game 1, the Cardinals managed just two hits in a 10-2 loss in six innings as the Bulldogs turned six hits into 10 runs, buoyed by a four-run first inning.
Aiden Eitel led the Cardinals offensively, going 1 for 2 at the plate. Payton Sickles took the loss on the mound with Chris “Aussie” Heikkila catching.
Game 2 was a bit better for the Cards, who scored twice but were unable to stem the Bulldogs’ bats in an 18-2 loss called after 6 and a half innings due to limited daylight.
Winlock collected five hits, led by Kyrin Meehan’s 2-for-3 performance at the plate.
Cole Fray-Parmantier took the loss with Sickles behind the plate.
Winlock (0-6) heads to Onalaska for a 4 p.m. game on Thursday.
