Led again by the strong play of Charlie Carper, the Pe Ell girls basketball team earned a road victory Tuesday night against Three Rivers Christian, 44-39.
Carper scored a game-high 23 points and added seven rebounds and eight steals.
“Charlie is just being Charlie,” Trojans coach Dave Tuengel said. “She continues to show why she is a special player, day in and day out.”
Madi Engel added nine points and Peyton Zock had a double-double, to also pace the Trojans.
The Trojans led by as many as 14 points before a couple of 3-pointers late made the score look closer than the game actually was.
“We started the game strong,” Tuengel said. “Peyton continues to improve, I am really excited with her progress.”
The Trojans take on rival Willapa Valley on Friday for their next game.
