A Centralia motorcyclist was airlifted to a nearby hospital following a collision on state Route 6 near Adna Wednesday, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Brian D. Bundy, 60, was riding a 2013 BMW F800 motorcycle eastbound near Penning Road at about 10:30 a.m. when he struck a westbound 2023 Ford F-350 pickup truck turning left onto Penning Road.

According to WSP, the motorcycle came to rest in the westbound ditch. The truck came to rest on Penning Road.

Bundy, who was wearing a federally compliant helmet, suffered undisclosed injuries and was airlifted to MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital.

The driver of the F-350, Kailee A. Masteller, 34, of Centralia, and three child passengers, went uninjured in the collision. All four were wearing seat belts.

Though it received reportable damage, troopers said the truck was driven from the scene.

Bundy’s motorcycle was considered totaled.

The state patrol’s incident report listed speed as the cause of the incident and said it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
