The Centralia School District will host four more free all-sport summer training days in July for incoming middle school students.

The training days are available to all incoming sixth, seventh and eighth graders within the Centralia School District, according to a news release.

The training camp, called “Centralia One Athlete Training,” aims to support nine qualities in young athletes — coachability, work ethic, confidence, grit, sportsmanship, accountability, leadership, integrity and passion — according to the Centralia School District. Students who exemplify those qualities are given a T-shirt with the qualities listed on the back.

The “one” in Centralia One Athlete stands for “Only Needs Everyone,” according to the district.

Upcoming training days are scheduled for Tuesday, July 18, Thursday, July 20, Tuesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 27.

All training begins at 9 a.m. at Tiger Stadium.

“All participants are expected to work hard and maintain a positive attitude,” the Centralia School District stated in a news release, adding that “Training is a privilege” and advising participants to bring water.

The district has already held five training days this summer.

Students don’t need to have attended precious training days to attend the upcoming sessions and pre-registration is not required.
