The public is invited to join the City of Centralia in celebrating both new beginnings and meaningful farewells at a special reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec.1, at the Centralia Train Depot.
This open house-style event offers the community an opportunity to honor the service and dedication of outgoing council members whose leadership and commitment have greatly contributed to the city’s progress, according to a news release from the city.
The reception will also be a time to welcome incoming council members as they begin their terms serving the people of Centralia. Community members are encouraged to stop by, share their appreciation and connect with city leaders.
Incoming council members include Ray Chapman-Wilson, Kevin Curtis and Tucker Voetberg. Norm Chapman was also re-elected to his District 1 seat. Community members will have the chance to say farewell to departing council members Max Vogt, Mark Westley and Sarah Althauser, whose terms end Dec. 31.
