A Centralia woman who allegedly had suspected fentanyl, meth and heroin in her vehicle when she was arrested Sunday on an unrelated warrant was charged Monday with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver.
The charge is a class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

A Lewis County Superior Court judge set her bail at $50,000 on Monday.

An officer with the Centralia Police Department reportedly stopped the suspect, identified as Kristi Henderson, 41, in a black Jetta in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at 3:05 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to court documents and dispatch logs. When contacted by the officer, Henderson reportedly “said she knew she had a warrant for her arrest” and asked to smoke a cigarette before her arrest, which the officer allowed.

During the interaction, another Centralia officer arrived with K9 Pax, who is trained in detecting controlled substances. After Pax “alerted” to the presence of controlled substances in the Jetta, Henderson allegedly “said they had used drugs approximately an hour ago” and “said she had approximately 40 fentanyl pills in her coat pocket in the vehicle,” according to court documents.

Officers searched the vehicle and located a black bag in the front passenger seat containing a clear plastic baggie containing “blue pills said to be fentanyl,” a clear plastic tube containing similar pills, two multicolored plastic cylinders containing suspected heroin, a plastic baggie containing “a dark substance suspected to be heroin,” packaging baggies, and a clear plastic baggie containing “a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine,” according to court documents.

Henderson’s purse, which officers found in the backseat of the Jetta, reportedly contained “a clear plastic baggie containing blue pills said to be fentanyl” and” a clear plastic baggie containing a powder substance consistent with fentanyl,” according to court documents. Officers also found a black scale “with crystal residue” in the vehicle’s trunk.

Henderson was booked into the Lewis County Jail just before 3:55 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to jail records.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11.
