Chehalis-Centralia Railroad offering three new events

Posted

The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum is offering three new events this summer.

The new offerings include a July 5 holiday special, Bike ‘n’ Rides every second and fourth Saturday from June through September, and a bingo train on June 22 and July 13.

In addition to the regular train rides held on Saturdays and Sundays, the train will be decked out in red, white and blue for the holiday special on Friday, July 5.

The train will depart at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. for two-hour excursions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Bike ‘n’ Ride train event will take riders and their bikes from the Chehalis depot located across from the Veterans Memorial Museum to the Millburn Rail Stop. From there, the train’s crew members will aid in removing bikes and riders from the train. Riders can choose to continue biking west on the Willapa Hills Trail at Spooner Road or bike back to the trailhead in Chehalis just a short distance from the Chehalis depot at Hillberger Road.

The bingo train on June 22 and July 13 will depart at 5 p.m. and take a two-hour route through the Chehalis River Valley. This event is family friendly. Playing bingo comes at no extra cost.
