Firefighters successfully extinguished a fire that broke out inside a commercial building in Chehalis on Tuesday.

Crews were dispatched at 7:19 p.m. on July 25 after a smoke alarm in the building, located at 255 North Market Blvd., went off and interior cameras showed “motion” and “flickering” inside the building, according to Chehalis Fire Department personnel.

The first-arriving crews reportedly saw light smoke and no flames coming from the building. Crews entered the building and suppressed the fire, which did not spread beyond the room it started in, according to Chehalis fire personnel.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
