Southwest Washington Fairgrounds

The Southwest Washington Fair makes its grand return on Tuesday with fun scheduled through Sunday, Aug. 21. Business After Hours: Centralia Pharmacy

Aug. 18 at The Cove, 200 S. King St., Centralia; 5 to 7 p.m.

Centralia Pharmacy’s fifth anniversary will be celebrated. Alcohol from Hedden’s Pharmacy will be raffled off.

 

Southwest Washington Junior Livestock Auction

Aug. 19 at the Washington State Fairgrounds, 1909 S. Gold St., Centralia; 4 p.m.

Animals will be available for auction on Friday, Aug. 19. Check-in will begin at 4 p.m. and the sale will begin at 6 p.m. Proxy bidding and add-on forms will be available on the Facebook page and at www.swjls.com.

 

Cinderella

Aug. 19, 20 and 21 at the Evergreen Playhouse, 226 W. Center St., Centralia; Aug. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m., Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.

The Theatre of Arts Discipline will present the Rodgers and Hammerstein version of Cinderella. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students ages 17 and under and seniors ages 60 and over. For more information, call TOAD at 360-996-4511.

 

Packwood Music in the Park

Aug. 20 at Packwood Community Park, 12935 U.S. Highway 12, Packwood; 6 to 8 p.m.

Miss Lewis County Program

Aug. 23 at Lewis County PUD, 321 Pacific Ave., Chehalis; 6 p.m.

The Miss Lewis County Scholarship program will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. to elect its board members. Those interested in attending should go to the Lewis County PUD public meeting room located at 321 NW Pacific Ave., Chehalis. Back to School Extravaganza

Aug. 25 at Winlock Assembly of God Church, 702 SE First St., 5 to 8 p.m.

The sixth annual Back to School Extravaganza will be on Thursday, Aug. 25. There will be new full size toiletries, new underwear, new socks, basic school supplies, coats and shoes. Students can receive haircuts if accompanied by an adult and dinner will be available for the whole family. All students entering Kindergarten through 12th Grade are welcome. Everything is free. Movies in the Park

Aug. 25 at Recreation Park, Chehalis; 7 p.m.

“Sing 2” will show at dusk. Popcorn, snacks and water will be available. Attendees are asked to bring blankets and chairs for a comfortable viewing.

 

Ribbon Cutting

Aug. 26 at Lucky N Lawless Bakery, 1608 S. Gold St., Centralia; 5 p.m.

A ribbon cutting will be held for the Lucky N Lawless bakery on Friday, Aug. 26. The bakery owner Pam Kaiser will hand out samples of baked goods. The public is invited to attend. For more information about the bakery, visit www.luckynlawless.com.

 

Music on the Hill

Aug. 27 at Seminary Hill Natural Area in Centralia; 10 a.m.

Attendees can walk under the trees on the trails of Seminary Hill while enjoying beautiful music from a harp, guitar and other instruments. Irish melodies will be played and singing along will be allowed.
