Ignited by a 3-4-5 finish from their three best runners, the Timberwolves totaled 35 points to triumph in a multi-team meet with several C2BL foes on Thursday at Toledo High School. Rainier was second with 57 points while Winlock (79) and Toledo (92) finished third and fourth. Adna was seventh with 177 points.

Vanson Armstrong (18:09), Hunter Brackett (18:13) and Aiden Kampa (18:27) were the backbone of the MWP performance. Aiden Kampa finished seventh in 19:41 and Owen Loucks rounded out the scoring five by placing 16th.

Toledo went 1-2 at its home meet with senior Treyton Marty running 16:58 and freshman Conner Hill was the only other runner that ran sub-18 minutes. Rainier had two runners in the top-10 in Caleb Stover (sixth) and James Meldrum (ninth) and its other three scoring runners finished 12th, 13th and 14th.

Winlock’s Xavier Sancho-Carrillo placed eighth and Jacob Trodahl was 11th.

On the girls side, Rainier only had four runners but went 1-2-3-4 despite not having ace Madison Ingram. Freshmen Komaire Robles and Alexis Myers ran 21:15 and 22:39 while sophomores Rayanna Wisner and Kinsley Barlow were separated by 17 seconds.

Mossyrock’s Joan Wedam took fifth, Winlock’s Natalie Cardenas Hernandez was seventh, Toledo’s Lilly Cooper placed ninth, Adna’s Megan Price finished 10th and MWP’s Gemma Jakubowski crossed the line in 11th.
