Drive-by Shooting on Injured 9-Year-Old — State Patrol Detectives Seeking Tips

Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for people who may have information about a shooting that occurred in Renton on Friday, Nov. 11.

Shots were fired on state Route 167 at SW Grady Way sometime after 2:30 p.m. and before 3 p.m. As a result, a bullet struck a 9-year-old boy in the face and chest. He sat in the passenger seat of a black Dodge Durango, according to a WSP news release.

The suspect fled the scene towards Carr Street on SW Grady Way, according to the news release. The suspect was driving a dark blue Ford Mustang convertible with white writing on the lower area of the windshield.



Detectives are looking for people who witnessed the shooting incident. They are also looking for anyone who saw or collided with a blue Ford Mustang in Kent or Renton that afternoon.
