State authorities say a driver was killed Friday when their vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane on Ocean Beach Highway, colliding into another car in Longview.

Washington State Patrol spokesperson Trooper Will Finn says the lone fatality had yet to be identified as of Monday morning.

According to a Washington State Patrol press memo, just after 5 p.m., Friday, a yet-to-be-identified driver of a white 2007 Chrysler 300 was traveling west on State Route 4, also known as Ocean Beach Highway. The Chrysler veered into the eastbound lane near milepost 54, east of Coal Creek Boat Launch, and collided head-on with a 2023 Jeep Wrangler driven by Rebecca R. Osmailowski, 39, of Longview.

Osmailowski and the unnamed driver were both wearing their seat belts, but the unnamed driver died at the scene. Osmailowski was sent to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center for injuries.

The crash is under investigation, the press memo states.
