Members of the East Lewis County Chamber of Commerce (ELCCC) are preparing to host the grand opening of their new headquarters office in Randle on Saturday, Sept. 26, starting at 1 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“Please join us for the grand opening of our chamber of commerce and tourism center,” the ELCCC posted to its official Facebook page. “We look forward to seeing you!”
Along with enjoying free refreshments, attendees will get to meet “Harry the Sasquatch,” along with touring the ELCCC’s new business and visitors center, located at 210 Silverbrook Road in Randle.
These ELCCC moves come as business owners in the region have been focusing on growing tourism revenue by attracting those interested in the many outdoor recreational opportunities East Lewis County has to offer, as previously reported by The Chronicle during the annual Packwood Mountain Festival in May.
The new office will also be a visitor’s center, with maps and informational brochures. The ELCCC hopes to attract more cryptid hunters too, as they previously announced they were partnering with Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization to help guide inquisitive cryptid hunters visiting the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and surrounding areas throughout the rest of the year.
Previously, the ELCCC’s office was located at 250 Westlake Ave., Suite C, in Morton.
