Economic Alliance of Lewis County to celebrate new headquarters and opening of Business Development Center on Sept. 5

The Economic Alliance of Lewis County will host a ribbon cutting for its relocated headquarters and its new Business Development Center at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The new facility is located at 1209 Borthwick Street, Suite B, in Centralia.

Centralia Mayor Kelly Johnston and Economic Alliance President Luke Moerke, who owns Exodus Engineering, are speakers at the ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and tours of the new space until 4 p.m. 

“The Economic Alliance of Lewis County has significantly contributed to local economic health over the past forty-one years by recruiting many businesses and creating thousands of jobs. This expansion to a larger facility reflects the organization's growth and its commitment to supporting local businesses,” the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, which organized the ribbon cutting, said in a news release. 

The new Business Development Center provides enhanced resources for both new and existing business owners, including tools for planning, starting, managing, and growing their enterprises, according to the news release. 

"The new office offers upgraded technology, improved meeting facilities, dedicated study areas, and space to expand our services," said Economic Alliance Executive Director Richard DeBolt.

Dolly Tardiff, head of the Business Development Center, said that the new center features multilingual training and a state-of-the-art multimedia classroom. 



“We are here to assist small businesses with everything from startup advice to growth strategies and providing essential resources,” she said.

A grant from TransAlta has enabled the Alliance to purchase the new facility, ensuring financial stability while maintaining similar operating costs to their previous lease, according to the 

“The chamber is excited to assist the Economic Alliance in marking this significant occasion,” the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce said in a news release.
