Experience Chehalis calls for artists to participate in Earth Day promotion image

Experience Chehalis is seeking design proposals for an Earth Day graphic to promote Chehalis’s upcoming Earth Day Community Clean-Up on April 25.

The selected design will be used across event materials, including posters, social media, T-shirts, and stickers. The goal is to create an engaging image that encourages community participation and inspires residents to care for the planet, according to a news release from Experience Chehalis.

Experience Chehalis is inviting artists to submit up to two designs that incorporate specific elements:

• A representation including planet Earth in the design

• Image will depict a positive and colorful representation of the planet and Earth Day

• Design will be contained to a square area so it can be easily placed into an 11-by-17-inch poster

• Experience Chehalis asks that no words be included in the design

Artists do not need to have previous experience in a similar project. Those chosen for the project will be paid $350 for their design. The artist will be responsible for all costs associated with the creation of the design. Experience Chehalis requests additional ownership of the artwork alongside the artist. This opportunity is open to all ages.

To be considered for the project, artists are required to submit the following to info@experiencechehalis.com by March 6:

• Name, mailing address, phone number and email

• A short bio about the artist

• A finished concept of the artwork in PDF, JPEG or PNG format

The selected artist will be announced by March 13.
