Posted

Business owners in downtown Chehalis who host events now have the opportunity to apply for micro grants providing 75% matching funds through Experience Chehalis, according to a news release.

The 75% matching funds will be good for up to $500 per business for approved event costs such as supplies, marking and promotion, but excluding alcohol.

Experience Chehalis has offered other grant programs in the past and has awarded more than 50 grants, according to the release.

“Activities and events play a large role in creating a fun and vital downtown experience. This grant will be a news opportunity for us to provide support to our downtown businesses,” Experience Chehalis Executive Director Annalee Tobey said in the release.

Applications are now being accepted while grant funding is still available; the deadline to apply is Dec. 31, 2023. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
