Family-friendly comedian to perform at Centralia church Sept. 14

Amy Barnes, a family-friendly comedian, will perform at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church, located at 1209 N. Scheuber Road, in Centralia. Pre-sale tickets cost $19 per person and can be bought at the church office or at ilccentralia.org/comedy-night. Tickets will cost $25 on the night of the performance.

Formerly an engineer, Barnes now regularly performs her comedy act at theaters, churches and conference events across the nation.



“We’re thrilled to host Amy Barnes for this special night of comedy,” said Pastor Peter Mohr, of Immanuel Lutheran Church. “Her ability to find humor in everyday life situations while keeping it  family-friendly is truly a gift.”

According to a news release, Barnes’ comedy is rooted in her experiences as a former engineer and resonates with people from all walks of life.

Before Barnes takes the stage there will be an opening jazz performance by new jazz sextet “Jazz it Up.” Tickets are expected to sell quickly, according to the news release, so it is recommended that attendees purchase their tickets early.
