FBI continues to pursue two people accused of vandalizing ICE building in Oregon, offers $5K for information

More than two months after police declared a riot at a demonstration at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Eugene, the FBI is circulating “wanted” posters with images of two people accused of damaging the building.

The federal law enforcement agency is offering $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of either suspect.

The Jan. 30 protest came partially in response to ICE agents fatally shooting demonstrators Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis in separate incidents earlier that month, and the Eugene protest lasted for several hours before veering “out of the peaceful realm and into riot behavior,” Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner said in a statement at the time.

The FBI alleges that a few of the roughly 500 protesters — including the ones they’re asking for help finding — “broke windows, spray-painted federal property and threw rocks at law enforcement officers,” the bureau said in a statement and in its updated wanted posters.
