A family was displaced after a fire burned down their home in the 1300 block of Northwest Airport Road early Sunday morning.

Crews with the Chehalis Fire Department, Lewis County Fire District 6 and the Riverside Fire Authority were dispatched to the fire at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday.

“On arrival, crews found a 4900 square foot residential structure fully involved with an exposure to the south,” the Chehalis Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

All occupants inside the residence were evacuated. One of the occupants was injured in the fire and was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia for treatment. No injuries to firefighters were reported.

Fire crews were able to initiate a defensive operation and contain the fire to the residence, according to the Chehalis Fire Department.

The American Red Cross is reportedly providing assistance to the displaced family.
