Celebrate spring this Saturday with a free nature walk at the Seminary Hill Natural Area, led by a retired Centralia College botanist.
Longtime former college professor Lisa Carlson will lead the walk-and-talk, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Barner Drive entrance to the natural area this Saturday, May 2.
“Join us to learn something new or take it as a refresher course for your wildflower knowledge,” said Cindy Garibay, communications director for the Friends of the Seminary Hill Natural Area, which organizes this and other events throughout the year.
Carlson will teach attendees to identify native wildflowers and enjoy the burgeoning beauty of the season in this century-old native forest just blocks from downtown Centralia.
All ages are welcome.
