The Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library invite community members to attend its upcoming quarterly meeting on Friday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. in the meeting room at the Centralia Timberland Library.

The gathering will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear updates about library programs and services, particularly the Summer Library Program (SLP), which launches on June 1, according to a news release from the Friends of the Library.

The Friends recently celebrated a successful Library Love Gala, which raised funds to support local library programs and services.

The June quarterly meeting will include a review of the event’s impact, discussion on how proceeds will support the library, as well as discussion of future projects aimed at strengthening library services and community engagement.

As Timberland Regional Library continues to address district-wide budget challenges, the Friends remain committed to advocating for strong library services in Centralia and providing meaningful support through volunteerism, fundraising and community partnerships, the release stated.

The meeting is open to the public, and anyone interested in supporting the library is encouraged to attend. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about the Friends organization, current initiatives and ways to become involved in supporting one of Centralia’s most valued community institutions.

While all are welcome to attend and participate in discussion, only current Friends members in good standing may vote on official business items before the organization. Membership information and opportunities to join or renew will be available at the meeting.
