The Chehalis Moose Lodge 1109 promised to “bring the fun” if people “bring the ghouls” to its Kids Halloween Carnival and Night of the Living Dead Adult Halloween Party on Saturday.

Both sides delivered: Kids, adults and volunteers turned up in a wide variety of Halloween costumes and the Moose Lodge provided a backdrop of spooky decorations and entertainment fit for all ages.

The free Kids Halloween Carnival took place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, with games, candy, prizes and a free lunch for all kids in attendance.

“This was a great time for the kids and parents alike,” Dave Munro said of the event in a Facebook post.

The adults’ party officially started at 6 p.m with a prime rib dinner followed by a liquor raffle and music continuing until midnight.

“Our Halloween party and liquor drawing was a great success. … Everyone was smiling and having fun. Duane’s prime rib dinner was excellent as always. Great costumes and fun times.” Munro posted on Facebook.

The Moose Lodge extended its thanks to all volunteers, members and visitors who participated in Saturday’s Halloween events.
