A 14-year-old girl suffered a life-threatening injury following a bicycle-versus-car crash in Lacey, according to police.
About 10:30 a.m. Friday, Lacey police and fire crews were dispatched to Mullen Road Southeast at Park Place Loop Southeast, which is between College Street and Ruddell Road. That's where the girl was reportedly unconscious.
Officers began to provide aid to the girl who was later taken to an area hospital.
A Sunday update on the girl's medical status was not immediately available.
The driver, a 43-year-old Lacey man, remained at the scene and has been cooperative with police. Impairment was not a factor in the crash, police say.
The crash scene will be investigated by Lacey police's major accident investigations team.
