Fueled by a day one card of 7-under par, Jon McCaslin built a sizable cushion and was able to prevail at the Lewis County Amateur on Sunday at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.

Battling a rib injury for the final 18 holes, the Olympia native shot 6-under par for the two-day tournament to claim his fourth victory at the event.

Cole Wasson of Centralia was the runner-up with a total score of 3-under par. He was the only player to shoot under par in the final round. Danny Brown, who currently lives in Arizona, was third after recording birdies in four of the last five holes on Sunday.

Former winner Patrick Nugent was fourth at even par and Matt Gill, who fired an ace on Saturday, rounded out the top-five with a 4-over par tourney.

Riverside’s Jake Botten fired an 8-under par to claim the Riverside Cup that combined the lowest net score with a single digit handicap. Centralia’s Tyler Fagerness was second with a 7-under par in the second flight with a double digit handicap.
