Pierce, 87, passed away in his home in Centralia, Wash., Thursday, May 25, 2017.  He was born in Black River Falls, Wis., June 25, 1929, the youngest child and only son of Harry and Lula Pierce; brought up with two loving sisters, Beverly and Myrtle. His oldest sister, LaNorma, passed away as a teenager. He was an accomplished pilot, learning to fly as a youth, while his Dad played golf with a friend on the course by the airport. After graduating high school in 1945, he enlisted in the United States Navy as a petty officer. He served honorably for three years, stationed in Key West, Fla. Harry was gifted musically and participated in several jazz bands during his younger years.  He used to say he could make more money in one night with his band than he could make in a month with the Navy. In his later life he often spent hours at his organ playing and composing music. The majority of his professional career was consumed working for the Boeing Aircraft Company in management.  Following his career at Boeing, he owned a wood working business where he created beautiful cabinetry and furniture.

A 10 year resident of Centralia, Harry was known for his character, honor and integrity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His interests were wide; his passions included music, wood working, playing his organ, tinkering with technology and spending time with loved ones. He will be deeply missed.
