Centralia I-5 Toyota/Mountain Dew needed a couple innings to get moving but never slowed down once it did Sunday, blowing out Chewelah 12-2 in six innings at the American Legion AA state tournament.
Conner Holmes (Napavine) went 2 for 5 in the leadoff spot of the order, and in the No. 3 spot, Weston Potter (W.F. West) was 2 for 3 with three RBIs.
The Dewers broke the game open with a five-spot in the bottom of the third inning, made it 6-0 with a run in the fourth, and ended things early with back-to-back three-run frames in the fifth and the sixth.
Miles Martin (W.F. West) struck out seven in 4 ⅓ innings, and Alex Stafford (W.F. West) got the final five outs in relief. Both pitchers gave up a run, though neither was earned.
