The sale is open Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The sale continues Saturday, when customers can fill a bag of books for just $5. The hours for the final day of the sale are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Since the first event in 1979, the Lewis County AAUW book sale has provided thousands of locals with the opportunity to discover and purchase books and other materials at bargain prices.
Proceeds from the book sale support the mission of AAUW — education for women. With money raised from the book sale, AAUW has awarded numerous scholarships to local women attending college, and to middle and high school girls for summer camps focusing on STEM subjects.
The Moose Lodge is located at 1400 Grand Ave., Centralia.
