In focus: Pups’ first day in flyball classes in Chehalis

Half a dozen Lewis County dogs headed to Pacific Northwest Pet Center in Chehalis Thursday, March 27, for a flyball class put on by Best Paw Forward Canine Behavior and Training.

Flyball is a high-speed relay race for dogs, including a series of jumps, ball retrieval and returns. The class aims to increase dogs’ athleticism, conditioning, concentration, training and teamwork. As they advance, pups will learn to navigate the course with the goal of achieving increasingly faster times while also increasing precision.
