In loving memory of Daniel John Anderson: 1956-2024

Posted

With a heart bigger than the great outdoors, a strong and gentle spirit, Daniel John Anderson has gone to be with his creator.

He was born in Crescent City, California, to Sam and Lois Anderson on Nov. 25, 1956. After a lifetime filled with family and friends, an avid horseman, rockhound, kayaker and beachcomber, Dan succumbed to cancer on Aug. 8, 2024, with his ever-faithful best friend and sister, Sharon, by his side. Sharon shared her faith and played Christian music throughout his journey, although Danny knew where he’d been, he shared with her, and he knew where he was going. Dan loved and was loved by people of all walks of life, all who knew him loved his sweet spirit and generous heart. He always went the extra mile making sure all were taken care of, no matter the event or function.

Graduating from Centralia High School in 1975, he went to work at Yard Birds with lifetime friends, Karen and Stephanie, and what a time they had. He also spent time working at McDonalds and Burgerville. At the end of the ’80s he went to work for the Stihl Company, ending his career at Ace International. After moving to Everett in 2001, Dan spent his time camping in Granite Falls, kayaking and doing anything outdoors. He will be missed by his closest cousins Becky, Cindy and Natalie; his sisters Karen (Don) Danielson and Sharon Anderson; his brothers Paul (Julie) Anderson and Greg Anderson; and adoring nieces and nephews. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Ray and his niece Tess Danielson Ruege.

We will be celebrating Danny's life here on earth and his grand departure to meet Jesus face to face, at the Little White Church, 617 NW West St. in Chehalis, Washington, on Aug. 24, 2024. at 1 p.m.
