In loving memory of Gerald 'Jerry' Dean Pratt: Jan. 9, 1953 - July 30, 2024

Jerry started life in Napavine and graduated from Napavine High School. He then went on to receive an associate degree from Centralia College.

After graduating from Centralia College, Jerry went to work with a friend selling and repairing video games. During his career, Jerry also worked for Uhlmann Motors as a service manager, Tires Inc. as their service manager, and then finished his career as the owner of the Toledo Liquor Store.

After retirement, he helped his wife, Kay, run Betty's Place. During his time at the liquor store, Jerry also served on the Toledo City Council (2000-03) and as the mayor of Toledo (2003-15). During his time as mayor, with the help of the city clerk, the city received money to build a boat launch, a new water tower and a new wastewater treatment plant.

Jerry is preceded in death by his two brothers, Clayton and Richard Pratt, and sister, Edith House. He is survived by his wife, Kay; brother Don Pratt; sister, Linda Rohrbaugh; brother-in-law, Neal Allen (Sally); and by his nieces and nephews, Lori Faris, Ron House (Karen), Scott House (Sheila), Sherry Land (Jon), Somaly Imm (Janelle), EJ Rohrbaugh, Ra nay Rohrbaugh, Milo Allen and Dalton Allen; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Toledo Senior Center from 1 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 17.
