On Sept. 7, 2024, Gordon Grover Fleming passed away at the age of 92.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Harriett; son, Andy, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; and daughter, Katie, of Woodland, Washington. He was preceded by his older brother, Donald; younger brother, Ted; and his grandson, Kirk.
Born to Grover and Helen Olson Fleming on March 3, 1932, Gordon grew up in Aberdeen, Washington, and then served in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War era. He attended diesel engine school in Los Angeles, California, and business classes at Grays Harbor Community College. He worked as a general contractor and then as an owner of Les Schwab Tires in Elma, Washington.
Gordon loved the Lord and his family, as well as woodworking and fishing. He could fix anything and had a fantastic sense of humor as well as work ethic. His larger than life personality will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts and lives of those he touched.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Napavine Cemetery.
