It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jonathan Hartley.
Jon was born on April 26, 1952, to Robert and Ester Hartley in Chehalis. Washington. He passed away on Aug. 2, 2024.
He attended Adna schools and graduated from Adna High School in 1970. Jon married the love of his life, Debra Britschgi, in 1977. Jon was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He loved spending time collecting and researching antiques. Jon was a hard worker and spent all his career working in various lumber mills. In 2008, he got what he said was his “dream job” working as a lumber inspector. This allowed him to travel for work all over Europe and the U.S.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ester; and his sister, Mary.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Hartley; sons, Doug Hartley (Amy) and Kevin Hartley (Cori); four wonderful grandchildren, Lilly, Cohen, Kaden and Piper; sister, Cynthia Moore; and brother, Gary Hartley.
He will be missed and remembered by family, friends and work colleagues.
Jon's celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the home of his son, Kevin Hartley.
