Shirley Jean Hanson passed away June 25, 2024, in Olympia, Washington, her home of 56 years. She was born Oct. 9, 1939, to Ray F. and Hazel M. Bartley in Ajlune, Lewis County, Washington.
Shirley attended Mossyrock High School, was a retired baker and attended Capital Christian Center in Olympia. She was a snowbird to Arizona and enjoyed cruises and beach trips.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Hanson, of Olympia; son, Duane A. Quinn, of Olympia; daughter, Vickie L. Whisenant, of Olympia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Terry D. Bartley, of Napavine, Washington; and sister, Diana R. McCutchan, of Chehalis, Washington.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Salkum Fire Department Hall, 2495 U.S. Highway 12, Salkum, Washington.
