A Centralia man faces felony charges following a Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) investigation that allegedly found him dealing fentanyl from his South Yew Street residence.
Christopher J. Jackson Jr., 34, made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court on Friday. A judge set bail at $25,000 cash or bond, in agreement with the prosecutor’s request.
Jackson is charged with single counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and unlawful use of building for drug purposes. He faces up to 10 years in prison for the possession charge and up to five years for the unlawful building use charge.
According to a probable cause affidavit, JNET initiated the investigation between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30, 2025.
“During the investigation, Mr. Jackson sold a confidential informant between one and three grams of fentanyl from his residence,” the affidavit states.
Upon executing a search warrant, detectives reportedly located packaging materials, scales, and small amounts of controlled substances, which, according to the charging information, included fentanyl.
Prosecutors said Jackson has felony convictions for second-degree burglary, malicious prosecution, and first-degree reckless burning, all occurring within the last five years.
Jackson has an additional conviction for delivery of a pistol to a minor in 2018, according to the affidavit.
Prosecutors indicated Jackson has dozens of prior warrants, along with two active warrants.
He was scheduled for an arraignment on March 19.
