Forest Ray, a “psychedelic rock project” based out of Seattle, will perform at the Juice Box Public House in Centralia from 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.
According to a news release, Forest Ray’s dedication to analog recording has crafted a “darker, older, and more intimate sound that sets them apart in today’s music scene.” Their music blends guitar-driven psychedelic rock with raw, synth-laced post-punk elements, Tropicalia flute and the garage punk aesthetic that “fuels their creative energy.”
Supporting Forest Ray will be Just Clark, a singer-songwriter from Texas who “is reviving the roots of American-made music,” according to the release.
Clark digs into a “woody sound that echoes through the hollers, embodying a timeless resonance that harks back to the cherished sounds of classic Americana. From poet to picker, this native Texan conjures a sound as bright as the Lone Star herself, making his performance a perfect complement to Forest Ray’s psychedelic vibes,” the release states.
The Juice Box is located at 216 S. Tower Ave. in Centralia. Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/forest-ray-just-clark-full-band-pete-posie-tickets-936906501567?aff=oddtdtcreator.
