I want to take a moment to ask how many voters saw the same report I saw last week reporting the shift of population away from cities.
What? People moving from cities? Yes. Apparently, sane people don’t want to live in fear for themselves and their property.
Many of the high rises in Seattle are now 30 percent or more empty.
And, not every business leaving cities like Seattle is leaving the state.
What does this mean for Lewis County?
It means that if we get our act together, fix our infrastructure, improve our schools and root out the drug traffickers and addicts, Lewis County can compete for jobs and better economic security.
I want to help Lewis County be a place of opportunity for all of us who live here now and attractive to the people and businesses who will help make us better in the future.
Sometimes, that means paying for government responsibilities like roads and safety.
Many times, it just means getting government out of the way.
Mike Hadaller
Candidate for Lewis County commissioner
