My name is Mitch Townsend, and I am running for the auditor’s office to take back this office for the people of this county.
Is your vote one of the 822 votes not counted in the primary election? Do you know where your tax dollars are being spent?
The auditor’s job does not require a financial CPA certification; it is an executive level position requiring substantial executive and leadership experience along with a graduate level education in organizational leadership, which I have.
I am a U.S. Army infantry veteran, former college instructor, doctoral level researcher, and businessman with 35 years of executive experience to include 25 years of business accounting. I have lived in Lewis County for over 30 years and am the only candidate with these qualifications, making me the very best choice for auditor.
My promised contract with Lewis County includes auditing the auditor’s office: Examine every practice and process within 30 days.
Election integrity: Audit Lewis County voter rolls to ensure 100% accuracy using existing methods and AI.
Audit and open the books: Initiate a full financial reexamination of all county departments.
Election reform: I will strongly advocate for state election reform.
Accurate elections are not partisan; they are an American right.
The auditor’s office is the citizens’ watchdog and the guardian of democracy. This is not a slogan; it’s a concrete commitment and my promise to you.
Vote for me and I will bring new accountability and transparency to county elections and finances.
Mitch Townsend
