To be honest, your latest commentary surprised me.
You are the owner of this newspaper. You are absolutely allowed to speak your voice.
It is common for editors, editorial boards, etc., to make their stances known, endorse candidates, and show their partisan lean. That is all part of a healthy relationship between a newspaper and its readers.
However, what you penned Monday night, was beyond civil discourse, and frankly, beneath you as an “upstanding businessman” and owner of vitally important independent news source for the citizens of Lewis County.
With your sarcastic and inflammatory commentary, you seem to be intentionally alienating a good deal of your loyal readership and fellow hard-working people of Lewis County.
Was it just to “own the libs?”
Also, I must say, the content of your commentary sounded like a grievance list penned by a third-rate chat bot who was asked to compile “all the times Democrats were mean to me in the last 10 years”
Although I admire you for sticking it out in the greatest state in the Union, I do feel like you may be more at home in Florida.
