The accusations against Dr. Isaac Pope are false, and we all know it.
A man is being falsely accused by men who were juvenile offenders that are now looking for a payout. Guys that accuse every man giving them any sort of physical examination of being gay.
If either facility even suspected he was a problem, they could have provided supervision or hired a different provider.
Did anyone tell these lawyers that losing privileges often involves not getting to have an Xbox or computer in your cell? Do the lawyers know some of the most popular books from the Green Hill library include graphic descriptions of crimes, including sexual abuse? Did the lawyers know that sometimes inmates purposefully harm themselves to receive medical attention?
I’m not saying these guys have never been sexually abused, but I am saying Dr. Pope didn’t do it.
I was a patient of Dr. Pope’s as a child. My dad was one of his closest friends. As an adult, I have remained close with Isaac and Jo Pope. They are family to me. I know what he is being accused of isn’t possible.
Consider the source that directed The Chronicle to this story. They didn’t mention it, but I have pretty good idea of the kind of people that would bring it up.
If anyone is confused by my stance on the issue, they can refer to a letter published in The Chronicle that I wrote them the last time they tried to dishonor my friend.
