I am writing to support and endorse state Sen. John Braun in his bid to represent the people of Lewis County as our representative in the Third Congressional District.
Having come to know Sen. Braun, I am secure in the knowledge that he will continue to represent the people of Lewis County and the Third Congressional District as he has done in his role as our state senator.
Sen. Braun has displayed his commitment to us, the people he represents in Lewis County and throughout District 20. He has crossed party lines in several attempts to reason with Democratic senators and stem the tide of higher taxes, especially the "millionaire" tax which, the polls indicate, is opposed by most Washingtonians.
Even two former Democrat governors have expressed their concerts about the rapid and unchecked growth of our state budget. As a retired naval officer and business owner, Sen. Braun has displayed courage in the face of opposition and the ups and downs of business and politics. He has stood tall with his colleagues and led his party in the state Senate, speaking out when those who claimed the only way to balance the state budget was more taxes. He has repeatedly supported balanced budgets without raising taxes.
Let Lewis County and the Third Congressional District be a stalwart in stemming the tide and the agenda of the Socialist Democrats who are offering free Medicare for all, defunding the police, abolishing the U.S. Constitution, allowing free entrance over our country’s borders, and massive tax increases to support all of these programs.
