Dear Mayor Brandon Svenson, council and staff,
On behalf of the City of Toledo, we want to extend our sincere appreciation for the ongoing support and partnership you and your team have provided. As a neighboring city with greater capacity in several key areas, your willingness to step in when we’ve needed help has made a significant difference to our operations and to our community.
Your leadership and the dedication of your staff have been instrumental in helping Toledo navigate several critical service needs. We are especially grateful for the ways you and your team have contributed, including:
• Providing police protection when our city faced limited coverage
• Backing up our staff with water treatment plant testing, ensuring service continuity and compliance
• Offering planning and inspection services to assist with new construction activity
• And making yourselves available for timely guidance, collaboration and problem solving when we’ve reached out
These efforts exemplify true public service and inter-city cooperation. You and your team have gone above and beyond to support us, and we want you to know how much we value your responsiveness, professionalism and generosity.
Thank you again for the many ways you’ve shown up for Toledo. We hope to continue building this relationship and look forward to a time when we can offer support in return.
Signed,
Cherie Devore, mayor
