Your recent commentary in The Chronicle on August Farewells is simply one of the best articles I have ever read. It really resonated with me to the point I have e-mailed it to many others, including college friends from 56 years ago. I copied it to make sure both The Chronicle and you were given full credit.
You have extraordinary insight, and I cannot give you enough accolades for such emotional words of wisdom.
I always look forward to your articles in The Chronicle and it is one of the reasons I continue to subscribe. The Chronicle in my opinion is truly the best newspaper in the Pacific Northwest, and I am glad you are a frequent contributor.
It validates that I really do hope that in the future you will take your articles and publish them in a book. I think it would soon appear on the New York Times bestseller list. Have you ever thought of syndicating your column across the nation so it would be published in all 50 states ?
