Letter to the editor: Cries of “stolen elections” a mark of cowardice

Posted

Letter writer Ray Anderson needs a chance to answer one simple question about the subject of his July 27 letter to the editor.

Do you ever notice no Republican, anywhere, has ever pursued a case of election fraud because they won? It’s always when they lose that they cry fraud.

Why is this, Mr. Anderson? Are we to believe that fraud only happens when a Republican loses? All this fraud going on just stops in places where Republicans are in the majority?

Do you further notice that none of the Republican fraud claims have survived judicial review? Not one. No election was ever stolen.

What it shows is cowardice. Cowardice from morally bankrupt people who cannot understand or accept when their party’s ideas simply aren’t good enough to win elections outright.

It happens.

You can blame whom or whatever you want, but when you lose an election, it is judgment on your party’s ideas.

When that happens, all that remains is to accept the results like Americans and get to work coming up with better ideas.

Or, you could send thousands of criminals to overthrow our government by violence and cry election fraud every single time you lose.
