I am grateful to The Chronicle for the opportunity to write this letter to inform its readers of an outstanding person in our midst who I have had the privilege of meeting on two separate occasions.
Writing a letter to the editor is not something I have done in many years; however, when a person of this caliber is amongst us, I felt it my call of duty to make my fellow residents aware of him.
If we are to examine a person, we must listen to what they say but, more importantly, we must examine them to see if they live their lives according to what they say.
May I introduce you to John Braun? John is running for the Third Congressional District seat to represent us in Washington, D.C. John does not just talk the talk; he walks the walk.
Never have I been so impressed and excited to send a person to the U.S. Congress to represent me. John is an intelligent, kind, humble leader who demonstrates these character qualities by the way he lives his life.
He has demonstrated this character during his 31 years as a naval officer and more recently representing us as a state lawmaker. He has been an outstanding husband and the father of four magnificent children. John is the owner of Braun Northwest located in Lewis County. The company builds emergency response vehicles for emergency responders. Fire, police and emergency response agencies recognize the vehicles they produce as the gold standard. They are the “gold standard” of the industry because they are built to reflect John’s character. They employ many people, and if you come across one of these people, I would encourage you to ask them about the company and John. You will find out that John is the real deal.
John is the “gold standard” of men destined for great things. We have never had such a great leader willing to represent us. As for me and my family, we beseech those that read this letter to not just take my word for what I say about John Braun but to make your own inquiry and see for yourselves what a great man John is.
We have a very talented man amongst us. Let’s turn this country around and send this man of integrity to do the work he can and will do.
